COGNITIVE BEHAVIOUR THERAPY
The gold-standard psychotherapy is
cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
However, accessing it in a live format can be problematic or expensive, even though there are multiple Apps, Webinars, and self-help books on this. Individual
and group therapy are all available.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health.
CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions (e.g. thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes) and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that
target solving current problems.
The course offers some elements of a full CBT program,
and allows individuals to gain insights into
what may help them and if this is a program
they want to pursue further.
For those who have previously had CBT, this will act as a refresher course, allowing participants to increase their
knowledge and the usefulness of past therapy.
